
Antoinette Vermilye, co-founder of the Gallifrey Foundation. The Gallifrey Foundation identifies collaborative opportunities to tackle ocean conservation issues; supports social enterprise, applying tangential strategies to solve human and environmental problems. Antoinette is an expert in her field and can educate and interest an audience with such energy that draws you in so that you want to hear more and become involved. She is passionate about the complex interrelationships of the ocean plastics, gender and overfishing on social injustice, human health and the environment. She will be talking about how the Majority World/ Global South is affected by climate change, particularly from a female perspective and what she thinks we can do to help.https://gallifrey.foundation/

Princess Katarina is a noted philanthropist, she lives and works in the community, has an extraordinary connection with people and is passionate about the environment. Amongst many ventures, she is Patron for ARNI rehabilitation for Neurological Injury (rehabilitation and care for after stroke victims); Ambassador for English Schools Orchestras; and Ambassador for children and photography in Kensington and Chelsea. Katarina is also Ambassador for Football for Peace, Ambassador for League of Mercy; and Ambassador for World Forum of Smart Cities.

Rosalind Scanlon has been a professional Playwright and Theatre Director for over 25 years. Alongside her theatre work, Rosalind has also been a major Producer of Irish Arts Festivals and Events. She was the Director of ‘Siamsa Cois Uisce – Festival Beside The Water’, a three week long celebration of Irish arts at The Waterman’s Arts Centre (1986 and 1987.) Director of the acclaimed Festival ‘A Sense of Ireland 1988’ at The Riverside Studios. Producer of The Brian Keenan Trust Concert at The Point Depot (1990.) While in post as A.D. of The Irish Cultural Centre, she established London’s Annual Irish Book Fair and Irish Literature Festival and she was Director of The Celtic Heart Festival, (ICC and Riverside 2007 & 2008.) In 1989, Rosalind won The Irish Post Award’ for her contribution to Irish Arts in The UK. Most recently 2021 Rosalind wrote the script for ‘Hanna and Me’ a Drama – Documentary about the Ireland’s Activist and Suffragette Hanna Sheehy Skeffington, to be screened in 2021. We are so exceptionally proud to congratulate our very own Rosalind Scanlon, Cultural Director at The Irish Cultural Centre, on not one but two incredible, career-defining achievements this week! Rosalind’s recent honour of being granted the Freedom of the City of London. In addition, Rosalind has been awarded the highest Irish state honour of the 2024 Presidential Distinguished Service Award.
